In July 2007 I began my first two courses at EIPS in the Doctor of Psychology (Psy. D.) Program, specializing in Forensic Psychology. As a busy professional, employed as a F/T school psychologist and P/T consultant to a non-profit agency, I needed a special program that allowed me the flexibility of time to work nights and weekends, while challenging me academically. EIPS provided both flexibility and stimulating course work. Educational instruction was provided by faculty with impressive academic credentials and solid teaching skills. The instructors provided timely feedback and insightful comments. My experience at EIPS has expanded my psychological background and helped me to develop new skills, particularly in the area of forensic psychology, testing and evaluation. As I prepare to retire from the public school system, I anticipate doors opening in the field of forensic psychology, with possible work as a forensic consultant, mediator or evaluator. I am grateful for the opportunities provided by the program. I have received the Psy.D. degree in July 2009.

Returning to school with the Eisner Institute has redeemed my enthusiasm for work as a therapist. From at least class one each quarter came information that was easily transformed into daily practice with my clients. After being a therapist for man , many years, it was enlightening to learn new information and discover new avenues of transferring such information in client presentations, practices, and interventions. It was also very gratifying to have older practices reaffirmed and integrated with the newer information for a more well rounded and complete package of informaiton to draw upon. I can honestly say each quarter at Eisner Institute was stimulating, challenging, and invigorating. It was an experience that reignited the passion that had faded over the years with complacency. I am a Doctor of Psychology student with a specialization in Clinical Psychology. As a practicing psychotherapist I am absolutely amazed with regards to the coursework that I've been blessed with during my learning at Eisner Institute for Professional Studies. The best professors and books have been selected. The comment- and feedback-based learning, and the direct applicability of everything I've learned thus far have provided me with increased depth in my clinical practice.
Speaking of my practice, I've expanded now to include more forensic psychology as an expert witness in PTSD and sexual deviancy. I was so impressed with the classes offered that I have also enrolled in the Certificate program in Forensic Psychology. I'm currently 2/3rds through the program , which will create for me a bedrock of recognition that'll propel me further in my career.
I truly and sincerely mean it when I say 'thank you' for the level of scholarship and learning that has been given to me thus far. I expect, once I've graduated with a doctorate in clinical psychology that my horizons will be expanded.
Aside from academic areas, there are three things I simply must emphasize with regard to Eisner Institute: its sense of congeniality and comradeship, and, of course, it fits brilliantly to my busy schedule. Relationships that I've had are rock solid and will remain with me for the rest of my life. And, of course, the online-orientation of the Eisner Institute fits around my busy schedule with my four kids, practice, and my small business.
