Deborah Hale, Esq. Deborah Hale is a 1982 graduate of Valparaiso University with a B.S. in business administration. She completed her legal education at Valparaiso University School of Law where she was recognized for the highest academic achievement in Land Transfer as well as acting as an instructor in legal writing. Since 1985 Ms. Hale has practiced law in California primarily in the areas of family, juvenile and criminal law. Since 1996 Ms. Hale represented abused and neglected children in juvenile dependency cases. Presently she is employed as a Senior Deputy County Counsel with the Los Angeles County Counsel's office. Ms. Hale actively represents the Department of Children and Family Services in both trial and appellate courts. On behalf of her office Ms. Hale participates in the Domestic Violence Death Review Committee for Los Angeles County. This multi-disciplinary committee reviews domestic violence cases that have resulted in death in order to recommend system-wide changes. She is the author of 10 appellate briefs including the published case of In re Aalyah R. |
